| Brothers In Arms Spoiler is the story. - Spoiler:
Kell walked along side me down the hallway, his bronze eyes searching my distant face for an answer to his unasked question. He stroked his cool hand delicately across my face in a caring gesture, trying to make sense of my odd mood. It was early this morning when I had received the call about my father’s death, he passed over night after the stress of the medicines for his blood pressure and all the other things wrong with him, forced his liver to fail. I leaned against him nuzzling my face into his shoulder as he embraced me and began to cry. I didn’t really know my father very well, but to now be a bastard, fatherless, was painful. He wiped away my tears with the corner of the sleeve to his brown American Eagle hoody.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered in my ear his voice soft and gentle. The tears came faster now, as I hic-upped softly into his shoulder. Kell was my best friend; he had been for so long it that it was hard for me not to cry in front of him. It made me feel weak, vulnerable, - helpless. His pale gentle hand rubbed my back as he whispered in my ear, “It's okay Leo, you are going to be okay. You can cry with me, let it out.” I slumped to my knees in the middle of the hallway of our dorm room, his body embracing me, warm and comforting as it followed mine. We stayed like that for a good twenty minutes, or at least it felt that long, it could have been longer. Kell always made me lose track of time when I was with him.
When I finally stopped crying he kissed my cheek, his lips warm to my cold salty tear drenched skin. “I barely knew him.” I managed to choke out, the knots that were formed in my throat finally untied themselves. I felt more tears start to bead up in the corner of my eyes again, and instinctively I turned my head not wanting him to see me cry more. “I don’t even know why I’m crying over that bastard, he left mom so long ago. I was only four years old.”
His hand came across my face with such force that I was stunned, the sound of the smack echoing though the quiet dorm, like an explosion in a quarry. It caught me off balance and I fell to the hard wood floor. “Your father had a very good reason for leaving and you know it!” He was yelling now, “If he had had a choice you know he would have changed his decision in an instant. He did what he did to protect you and your mother, don’t ever let me see you or hear you disgrace your father’s name.”
In truth he was right, my father was a scientist for the government, he helped develop the government super code and also their computer based security system. “I’m on top of the mafia’s hit list!” he would joke when he came back last year. He had been out of my life for twelve years, I didn’t need him; I didn’t want him back. Mom and I were doing just fine on our own.
I finished recalling the memory as Kell picked me up. He was strong, stronger than he looked. He pulled me off the ground like I was a feather, lifting me to my feet, he hugged me apologetically. “I’m sorry,” he mused. I looked into his bronze eyes; they showed his pain and sorrow for his action.
“Thank you,” I said quickly, “you were right to hit me.” I leaned against his hard chest, his cool body sucking me in. His arms wrapped around my body and his head rested on mine, his strait light brown hair fell across his soft loving face and against my cheek.
He pushed me away from him slightly, just enough so he could see my face better. “You’ll be here in one piece when I get back, right?” he asked in a worried voice. “I promise Kell, I won’t harm myself while you are gone.” And truthfully I wouldn’t, I didn’t plan on hurting him anymore than he already was. He hated seeing me in pain or upset. At that instant he bent his head closer to mine and went to kiss me, I turned my head to make his lips hit my cheek instead of my lips. He broke away from me and disappeared out the door and I was alone again.
Despite Leo's assurance that he wouldn't harm himself, Kell couldn't help but worry. Away from his friend, he tried his best to concentrate on other things -- specifically, all of the homework he had to do -- but it was unsuccessful. The library he had chosen to go to was quiet and serene, and would normally be a perfect place for him to finish all of the work that he had to. However, his mind kept wandering back to Leo; after all, how could it not? His best friend, the person he cared for most in the entire world, was suffering. And though he had apologized and Leo didn't seem too upset about it, Kell still felt awful about hitting him like that.
And of course, there was the fact that Leo had turned away from his kiss. Kell was struggling not to think about that, but it kept popping to the front of his mind, and it stung every time. Had he been wrong to try? Would things become awkward between them because of it? He couldn't stand the thought of their friendship being ruined because of a sporadic decision on his part. He clenched his fists under the table and rested his forehead against the smooth surface, trying to push the thoughts out of his head yet again.
After a while of getting absolutely nothing accomplished, Kell gave up; the homework simply wasn't going to be done that night. He gathered up everything he had and left. He stopped at a snack machine and bought some food he thought Leo would enjoy, the action automatic; afterwards, he stared at it. He hadn't been (consciously) planning on returning to Leo so soon -- in fact, he had been planning on avoiding him for the night. Trying to talk to him again after that would just make things uncomfortable, wouldn't it? It was too fast, he should just let things sit overnight and hope all was forgotten by morning...
Then again, he wouldn't get a wink of sleep that night if he didn't at least check up on Leo. Urged on by that thought, Kell's feet mechanically carried him to the other boy's room. He paused outside, uncertain, having last minute doubts about entering. He had to steel himself, muster up as much cool composure as he could get. Everything was fine; nothing had changed. He was just a concerned boy caring for his best friend, and that was all. After a few long moments, he pushed the door open; they were too close for him to even bother knocking. Still, he was almost hesitant about entering, peeking his head in first and looking for the other boy.
"Leo, I brought some snacks..." He said, trying his best to make his voice as calm and confident as always. Maybe if he pretended that everything was fine, it would be; at least, he hoped so. I sat on the window sill, with my arms wrapped around my thing boney legs. The window was ajar enough to let a cool breeze come in and brush against my hot face, I’d been crying since Kell left, I never knew how much I would miss him, my dad that is. I had only known him for one short year, and when he got back he promises he wouldn’t leave me or mom again. I slammed my fist against the wall, my eyes watering again.
Once I got over my little fit, I sat down on the window sill again just like last time, where was Kell, I looked at my watch, 5:33 it read. He usually says, “I’m home”, or “Hey Leo,” when he gets in. Hmmm I thought, maybe he’s running late. No sooner did I think he was running late I heard his soft clear calm voice from behind me. “Leo, I brought some snacks…” he said.
Immediately I jumped off the window sill and ran into his arms. He dropped the snacks on the ground, embracing me immediately. “Did you get any work done?” I asked, not that I cared, I was just glad he was home. After he didn’t answer, I asked, “So what did you bring me?” I prodded at his side with my finger.
Without completely releasing me he bent down and picked up a bag of Lays potato chips and a small container of Ramen noodles. He knew I loved those, immediately I snatched them from his hand and skipped over to the microwave. I poured some water into the container and put the microwave able lid back on. I slid it into the micro wave and hit the instant button. I hadn’t eaten all day, and I wasn’t planning on skipping this meal.
Kell stood in the door way between the hallway to our rooms and the kitchen. His back against the door frame and his left foot rested underneath him and is other against the other side of the frame. His arms were crossed lightly over his chest and his head was cocked sideways watching me. “What?” I asked, staring back at him.
“What have you not eaten all day? You are acting as if the little snack I brought you is gold.” He snickered and walked over to me.
“Well I haven’t eaten all day, been to sick really, well at least until you got home.” He liked that last part, as his smile broadened. Maybe if I acted like everything was alright it would be. I inhaled the ramen and popped open the bag of chips. I plopped down on the couch and beckoned him over, sat next to me with his worried gaze. I rolled over on the couch so my head was on his lap. He stroked through my sleek black hair, as I started to doze.
He whispered in my ear, “Why don’t you go to bed?”
I mumbled something along the lines of sleeping was boring and rolled over to face him. As soon as I looked into his eyes he scooped me up and carried me to my bed, I didn’t protest. He undressed me and put pajamas on me. Scooping me up again he shoved me under the covers and tucked me in. He was about to go when I grabbed his wrist. “Won’t you stay a while?” I knew he wasn’t tired but I wasn’t ready for him to go.
“Just till you fall asleep,” he whispered and slid under the covers with me. I curled myself into his arms and laid there, not wanting to think or move. Not wanting to let go of the warm hands that tangled around my cold body, sending chills up my spine as he stroked me cheek, my arm and my side. I was out cold. Of course, Kell could tell as soon as Leo was asleep; he saw and felt the other boy relax completely against him, and heard his breathing become slow and steady. After a day full of unhappiness and regret, the other boy finally looked serene once he was asleep. Kell studied the other boy's sleeping face affectionately. He was reminded again that had said he would leave after Leo fell asleep, and how he really needed to. He had checked up on him; Leo was fine, everything was going to be alright, so he wouldn't worry any more. Maybe he could even get through the work he hadn't been able to do before bed.
Still, he was reluctant to leave. It was warm and comfortable in Leo's bed, and it just felt so right to have the other boy's body molded against him. He lingered there for several minutes and then finally convinced himself that it was time to go. Very reluctantly, he began to rise up. But, Leo reached out in his sleep, wrapping both arms around him and trying to pull him back. A smile tugged at Kell's lips as he looked at the boy, once again fighting the urge to stay. But he had work to do -- Kell had always tried his best to perform well in his classes, and although he knew he had good reason not to get all of his work done, he still hated the thought of showing up to class unprepared.
"Goodnight, Leo," he murmured, and briefly pressed his lips against the other boy's forehead. Leo sighed softly, but didn't wake up. He grudgingly sat up and detangled himself from the other boy, moving slowly and gently so he wouldn't disturb him. He stood up, and Leo automatically seemed to detect the empty space next to him and woke up.
"Kell?" He murmured, sounding sleepy and confused and completely adorable, according to Kell. "Yeah?" He responded quietly, standing where he was uncertainly. He wanted to leave, yet couldn't bear the thought of leaving his best friend's side when he was looking so vulnerable. "Are you leaving?" Leo asked, voice muffled by sleep and carrying a tinge of sadness as well. He was still barely awake, eyes only half-open, and hair ruffled in some places, and flat in others due to the position he had fallen asleep in. "Uhh..." Kell hesitated, glancing at the door and then back at the other boy. "...No. I was just, err, going to the bathroom."
Leo looked satisfied with that answer and sank back into bed. Kell went to the bathroom and washed up and then returned, climbing back in bed and re-situating himself with Leo curled against him. I'll leave in just a few more minutes... He told himself, eyes drifting closed. When Leo is back asleep I can go. He gradually lost sense of time -- and everything else -- and fell asleep beside his friend.

| Dance In Crimson - Spoiler:
Isabella stretched in bed, clinging comfortably to her red satin bed sheets. She opened her eyes to realize that it was still dark. Isabella flipped open her cell phone to learn that it was only 11:57.
Great, I broke my sleep for nothing, the young woman thought. Just as she was about to go back to sleep, she heard an odd sound coming from her front yard that might have been music. It is music, she thought, but...what? In her neighborhood the only music to be heard was the typical loud radio...but this sound was different, more, pure. Isabella couldn't explain it because it sounded like it could be anywhere from a slow, electric guitar ballad to a deep church organ. Just as she opened her front door, what seemed like millions of cruel faces turned towards her. There was a flash of red--
--Isabella sat straight up in her bed. Her cell said 11:58. It was a dream, she thought, a strangely realistic dream. She was once again about to lie back down when suddenly she stopped cold, realizing that she was holding a dark, crimson ribbon. Isabella stared at the dark ribbon. It frightened her, it fascinated her, it confused her to no end. Clutching the small object, the young woman threw on a big black sweater and cautiously walked to her window. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. She walked slowly downstairs and looked out the large window by the door--again, all was fine.
Starting to feel more confused than she already was, she knocked on both her roommates' doors at once, loudly and mercilessly. Mumbled insults came as both girls swung open their doors, and gave their wide-awake roommate silent stares of annoyance. Isabella paused apologetically and briefly explained to the blond-haired Angie and bronze-haired Leila about the non-dream she had just experienced.
Their angry expressions melted abruptly into concerned countenances. "And you're sure this wasn't a dream?" Angie said lightly, careful not to offend. Isabella bitterly snapped her arm up and pointed to the slightly crumpled red strip. Angie nodded and looked down, just as frightened and confused as her pale, raven-haired friend. Leila looked up. "I didn't notice anything..." Then Angie nodded in agreement.
The three walked into their small living room in silence. Leila looked out the window, and upon seeing nothing of interest, she closed the blinds. Just as Angie went off to make some tea, Isabella noticed something strange about the ribbon that she didn’t notice before—something was written on it in odd symbols. She showed her friends and Leila exhaled slowly and shakily.
“Those are runes...it’s an ancient form of writing...”
Angie looked confused. “So...what does it mean?”
Leila stared hard, trying to remember at once everything she had learned in a class she took last semester. Suddenly, she gasped quietly and her breathing became even less steady.
“It’s...it’s a curse.” Angie and Leila invited Isabella inside and sat her down, looking at the beautiful yet odd ribbon.
''Are you one hundred percent sure you don't own the ribbon and just...lost it and, I don't know, found it back or anything? Maybe it was just a freakishly real dream. I've had some of those. Oh, there was this one time where I was dreaming about a f--''
''Leila, quiet'', Angie cut her friend off, taking the ribbon from Isabella's hand, inspecting it under the lamp's bright light.
''It's beautiful, isn't it'', whispered Isabella.
''It certainly is'' replied Angie, still looking at it. ''So you said you heard music...well, as we said, we didn't hear anything...but.’’
''But?'' both girls asked her, looking at her curiously.
''Well Leila and I are really deep sleepers, if a plane crashed a block down we wouldn’t have noticed, so maybe you really did hear something?'' she suggested to them.
Leila walked over to the window, sitting on a chair to the side, looking down quietly for any traces of people with killer intentions lurking about. She struggled to stay awake, blinking rapidly as she started dosing off on the window sill.
Isabella leaned back on her chair, deep in thought about what happened, trying to formulate any possible, logical reasons for what happened. Maybe it was just a random nightmare, as Leila suggested, or maybe it was something with a lot more meaningful significance. She personally agreed more with the latter possibility; glance over to the ribbon in Angie's hand, illuminated by the lamp's fluorescent glow.
The girls all looked towards the window of the room, staring out into the dark night in total silence, waiting for the mentioned sound to make its entrance once again. It never did, or at least, not that night.
Joseph woke up with sweat that coated his sleek black hair, dripping down his face and stinging his eyes. That was the weirdest dream ever, he thought, as he clanked about the room for his glasses. Whipping the sweat from his eyes with a corner of the sheets he picked up his glasses and walked over to the sink. He turned the knobs so the water was cool to his face, when he looked up he had no idea what he saw, but it frightened him, he took a step backwards in shock and fell into the tub. It was very late, and he didn’t want to wake his roommate. He got up again, rubbing the back of his head where it had slammed against the wall.
What the Hell, he thought. As he stared at himself in the mirror, his eyes where a dark crimson, the color of wet blood that had just perspired from a break in the skin. He touched his face, I’m so pale. He yawned and rubbed his eyes to try to whip away his tiredness. When he opened his eyes, still yawning he screamed. “Ahh!” Falling backwards into the tub again and slamming his head even harder against the wall. His teeth were strait, and white, the purest white he had ever seen. But they scared him; His canines were extended, and cuspidate. He felt them with his finger, and pushed ever so slightly. It drew blood like a sharp razor across the skin. Surprisingly there was no pain, and he sucked his finger to stop the bleeding. As the crimson colored blood lapsed over his tongue, an ecstasy of enjoyment aroused with in him.
His roommate Ryan, awake now, stumbled into the bathroom. “Dude what the hell, you’re making so much noise. What the hell is the matter with you?” Ryan glanced down at his watch, “It’s two in the morning for god sake.”
“Look at me do I look normal to you?” Joseph lifted himself from the tub a second time.
“Dude it’s two AM, go to bed you’re just tired, and you know I can barely see as it is. I don’t have my contacts in.” Ryan pushed his dark greasy brown hair out of his eyes, “Just look…” Joseph said almost begging, staring into Ryan’s pale green eyes.
“Alright, alright, don’t get all mushy on me, let me get my glasses, I think they’re in my room somewhere, in the night stand I believe.”
“I’ll get ‘em, it’s still dark, you might hurt yourself,” Joseph made his way into Ryan’s room and retrieved the glasses from the drawer. Ryan’s room was extremely organized, along with all his other things. Ryan is a smart kid; he might know what’s going on with me, thought Joseph. “Here they are.”
Ryan rubbed the lenses clean with the teal cleaning cloth he always kept with him. Shifting the frameless glasses into place on his nose, “HOLY SH—, what the hell happened?”
“I have no idea, I just had a dream, and then I woke up, and I heard an electric guitar ballad to a deep church organ, but I was playing the guitar…” he faded off.
“What happened next?” Ryan asked with extreme interest.
“I—I don’t remember…”
“Hey, sounds like you’re tired, why not try to get some rest. Maybe you will remember it in the morning, come on we have to get up in four and a half hours anyway. Try to get some shut eye.” Ryan made his way to his room.
“I’ll do that, sorry to wake you Ryan.” But sleeping was the last thing on his mind.
“No problem.” He turned and smiled. “What would I do without you? I mean you make school so much more interesting, anyway Night man, see you in a few hours.”
“Yah, your right, Night.”
Ryan closed his door quietly and dropped in to a deep slumber again.
I can’t go to sleep, not after this. He looked into the mirror again, licking his extended canines. They are so odd, and blood, why does it taste so good? He contemplated whether or not to bite his finger again. No! It’s wrong, it’s all wrong! This is a dream I know it, it’s not real. He walked over to the window and sat down on the sill. He looked out at the golden moon, just stared; he picked up his guitar and strummed the pure sound he had heard earlier in his dream. He didn’t have to look down; it flowed out of his heart, through his fingers to his ears. He wrote it down on the staff paper he had on the stand next to him. He walked over to the keyboard, pressed the nine key to set the sound to church organ. Then lowered the volume, and played the eerie song. He wrote it down and collapsed onto the bed. He was in love with her, but who was her, where was she, what made him think of her? He rolled over and stared out the window. “I love you,” he whispered, and fell asleep.
Isabella awoke with a start, sweating like she had a nightmare. She glanced around the dark, moon lit room. She stretched her arms over her head and looked at the digital radio clock on her nightstand, 6:49 AM, it read. Dang, I woke up eleven minutes early; she rolled herself out of bed, turning on the dark oak wood lamp, situated on the edge of the nightstand as if ready to jump off and run away. Isabella yawned, stretching her legs for the first time in five hours, she was still tired and wanted to lie back down in her bed, and pull the crimson comforter over her head and sleep in for once. Knowing she had class in about an hour, she stretched again, yawning and making her way to the bathroom. Tripping over her school skirt, she left lying on the floor the day before, she entered the small bathroom. Catching herself in mid-air, she continued her way to the sink to wash away the sleep that still lingered on her face. Grasping the handles of the sink, she turned them and waited till the water was warm. Looking up in to the mirror, she looked at her self. Great I have bags under my eyes… She splashed the water in her face, washing away the remaining sleep, like a pile of leaves dropped into a river.
Once she was satisfied with the results, she pulled her night shirt over her head and started the shower. In an effort to make it easy to wash her hair, she let it down out of the long black pony tail that it was in. I think I’ll keep it down today. Isabella turned the shower on, tuning the knobs so the water was a lukewarm temperature. Stepping around the show curtain, she slipped into the steamy shower. She let the water run over her head, down her face, and along the rest of her body. Water droplets beaded on her face as she looked down to the side of the shower looking for the wash cloth and a bar of soap. She rubbed the soap bar vigorously on the washcloth until she was satisfied. She washed her body, rubbing gently along her pale peach colored skin. Rubbing the soapy cloth along her thin legs, the soap suds gathered along her boney shins and knees as she rubbed away the dirt and grime of her travels from the day before. There was a knock on the door and Isabella froze, “Hurry up Isabella, there are other people that have to shower to you know!” Leila was pounding on the door.
“Okay, okay let me finish, it hasn’t been that long, geez you’re so impatient.” Isabella called back, rolling her eyes as she picked up the bottle of shampoo. Isabella suds up her hair and rinsed it out as fast as she could. She pulled the towel off the hook on the side of the shower. And picked the hand towel up and wrapped it in her hair. The door opened to a rush of cool air from the hallway of their dorm.
Leila glared at Isabella, “You waste so much water, while you’re in there.”
“No I don’t, I just enjoy it. Is there something wrong with that?” She sneered back. Leila turned on her heel, and slammed the door to the bathroom behind her.

| Dance In Crimson Part 2 - Spoiler:
Isabella walked down the hall, rubbing her head with the beige hand towel. She stepped through the door way to her room, remembering she had left the skirt on the floor; she picked it up and threw it into the wash basket. Tearing away the beige towel from her head, she started to make her twin size bed. Pulling the red sheets up to the head of the bed, and folding them over about a foot, nice and flat, I’m getting better at this, she thought to herself. As she moved her pillow aside, the crimson ribbon fell from where it lay underneath the pillow, onto the floor.
Bending down to pick it up, she smashed her head on the nightstand, knocking her dark oak lamp to the floor, the bulb shattering as it hit the Sedona Red Maple hard wood flooring. “OW! DAMN IT!” Isabella howled in pain, her head was throbbing and she now had a massive migraine.
Angie appeared in the doorway, her eyes sowed with sleep, “Are you alright, Isa?” She rubbed her eyes, and walked over to the bed and sat down.
“I’ll be fine, don’t worry about it.” She rubbed her forehead, and carefully bent down to pick up the ribbon once more. “This is such an odd thing, I mean it was under pillow last night and I kept tossing and turning, and now I slammed my head on the nightstand trying to pick it up.”
Angie sat down next to Isabella, “maybe it is cursed, and maybe it has bad luck in it?”
Isabella crossed her legs, “I don’t get it; I still don’t understand where this ribbon came from. It appeared out of nowhere in my hand last night and I can’t seem to forget about it.”
Leila appeared in the doorway, “‘Cause you aren’t suppose to you idiot. It’s a curse; it wouldn’t be a very good one if you could just forget about it.” She walked over to the bed grasping a sheet of paper in her hand. “I stayed up almost all night translating that thing, and I think I know what it means.” Isabella stared, “You know what it means?”
Leila walked over to Isabella grabbing the ribbon from her hands. “I have no idea how to pronounce the old runes but I can roughly translate it. It ends up meaning…” Leila paused.
Isabella glared, waiting with baited breath. “Means what Leila, Tell Me!” Isabella screamed.
“Oh Bella,” Leila let out in a soft cry. “I’m so sorry. It really isn’t a curse, more like a calling or a message. They are coming for you Bella they’ll be here soon I imagine.”
Angie blurt out, “They?”
Isabella stared confused, “Leila slowdown, take a minute and then begin again. And tell me who ‘They’ are.” She laid a comforting hand on Leila’s.
Leila took a few deep breaths to calm herself, squeezing Isabella’s hand she continued, “Bella the Stregoni Benefici are coming. They are an ancient Vampire family, and all the note or message says is, ‘We are coming for you.’ signed them.” Isabella’s face was white with shock. “I-I didn’t do anything to then though.” She couldn’t believe it, this mythical family of vampires was real, and coming for her. “What do they want did the ribbon say?”
“I don’t know Isabella, it only said, ‘we are coming for you.’” Leila rubbed her eyes and yawned. “Isabella don’t worry too much, I don’t think they are coming to kill you, and if they are well, it will probably be quick.”
“Don’t worry, DON’T WORRY!” Isabella screamed “How can I now worry after you say something like that!?” Isabella threw a book off the nightstand table at Leila that was now making for the door as fast as she could. The book hit the door frame next to Leila’s head, and fell to the floor opening to reveal another ribbon. This ribbon was the same crimson color, written on in the same black calligraphy in the old ruins. This ribbon was shorter than the last, it only had three ruins on but it was just as beautiful as the last.
Angie let out a short high shriek as it appeared between the pages of the book with a soft crack. “Another one,” She yelped, “there between the pages of the book.”
Leila wheeled around at the sound of Angie’s voice, “Let me see it.”
Isabella was on her feet moving to the ribbon, mysteriously appearing out of nowhere. Bending over to pick it up, treating it with delicacy as a mother to her baby. She lifted it from the book, immediately she handed it to Leila, as if it were some disgusting critter.
Leila slipped her glasses on and inspected the new crimson silk ribbon. “Oh,” she gasped. “Well isn’t that nice.”
“What’s nice?” Angie asked delighted that it was nice instead of creepy.
“Well it seems that out Benefici Vampire has extended a welcome to your room mates.” She pointed at herself and Angie. “Also they said not to sleep tonight, and to wait for the next message.
Angie was surprised, “To us? Well that changes things.” She whispered almost only to herself in her sweet high voice.
“How so?” Isabella asked Angie, “and why do these Benfice-” she mispronounced.
“Benefici…” Leila corrected sounding almost annoyed.
“Right Benefici, is there any way we can contact them?” She was very interested now; it had been a while since she had a nice adventure, and who cares if it was with a vampire or two. “Well I guess we wait till tonight, maybe they will tell us how to respond. To their greeting, and since we can’t sleep tonight I’m going to go put a few more hours it.” Angie was quite happy that she now had something to do; her nights were getting dull with paper after paper and homework from her classes. She gracefully skipped from Isabella’s room to her own and closed the door. “that was odd,” Leila said.
“Definitely, what’s up with her do you thing?” Isabella was now getting dressed and walking to and from every dresser in her room.
“I don’ ‘now, but you know she has the hots for Italian boys, their nice tan skin, black curls, and hazel eyes. Oh, just dreamy.” She fluttered her eye lashes.
“Would you stop fantasizing in my room, for Pete’s Sake. It’s kind of disturbing.”
“Oh you know you love them too, their just so dazzling.” Isabella threw her pillow at Leila, “I said stop, I know you like them, but you don’t have to try to make me part of that fantasy.”
Leila sat on the end of the bed daydreaming as Isabella finished dressing. She couldn’t help but think of what this incubus would look like, she hoped he was a guy, and if not, well she would decide what to do then.

We stayed like that for a good twenty minutes, or at least it felt that long, it could have been longer. Kell always made me lose track of time when I was with him.
When I finally stopped crying he kissed my cheek, his lips warm to my cold salty (Gives an odd feeling the the description) tear drenched skin. “I barely knew him.” I managed to choke out, the knots that were (had?) formed in my throat finally untying themselves. I felt more tears start to bead up in the corner of my eyes again, and instinctively I turned my head not wanting him to see me cry more. “I don’t even know why I’m crying over that bastard, he left mom so long ago. I was only four years old.” His hand came across my face with such force that I was stunned, the sound of the smack echoing though the quiet dorm, like an explosion in a quarry. It caught me off balance and I fell to the hard wood floor. “Your father had a very good reason for leaving and you know it!” He was yelling know, “If he had had a choice you know he would have changed his decision in an instant.
Thats as far as I got. Good Story! |
